It's that time of the month again! A new month brings a new contest and this time we are changing things up a little after seeing the feedback regarding previous contests.

JULY JAMBOREE POSTING AND REFERRAL CONTEST DETAILS

This month we will be basing the winners on top posters of the month and referrals but we will be doing this a little differently this time

July Jamboree Contest Rules!​

The winners of this contest will be based on your post count on the 31st of July 2024 and any referrals that become eligible will also be added to your post count at the end of the month.

Referrals will be added as two posts to your final post count on July 31st 2024 as long as they have 10 posts that are of good quality and not spammed to gain the post count!

For example, if you have 300 posts by 31st July 2024 and you have 10 referred members with 10 posts and they are not spam posts to gain the post count, that will be 300 + 20 = 320 will be your final post count.

Rules! ‼️‼️

  1. A counted participation of 40 words or more must not be spam. If the reply requires less than 40 words do not attempt to resay the same thing to fulfill the 40-word requirement.
  2. Posts should be on topic and posted in the correct forums, we understand that mistakes can happen and if you do happen to post a thread in the wrong forum, please report it and we can move it for you.
  3. Threads and replies should be your own content and not directly copied and pasted from another site to Discussion Hub to increase your post count. This is plagiarism and your posts will be removed, persistent offences will disqualify you from the contests.
  4. Winners will be responsible for any fees incurred when sending the payments. Any fees that are deducted are out of our hands. Shortie uses Coinbase to purchase any crypto to be sent and in some cases, does receive a coinbase fee and a network fee, this is something Shortie can not avoid and the final amount sent and received is subject to fees taken.
  5. Your post count will no longer increase in the forum games section, the celebrations forum or the introduction section

Due to the changes made, we have more spaces for prizes which means more of you can now win in this contest! The prizes are as follows

FOR THE REFERRAL CONTEST, WE HAVE INSTALLED AN ADVANCED DUPLICATE ACCOUNT SYSTEM TO KEEP THINGS FAIR FOR ALL, WE WILL BE KEEPING AN EYE ON THIS AND TWEAKING AS WE GO AND ALL ACCOUNTS WILL BE CHECKED! IF ANYONE IS FOUND TO BE CREATING DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS TO WIN THE REFERRAL CONTEST, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THIS CONTEST AND ALL FUTURE CONTESTS GOING FORWARD!

TO ADD TO THIS, IF WE FIND OUT THAT A MEMBER HAS BEEN PAYING PEOPLE THEY REFER TO POST ON THE FORUM TO HELP THEM WIN THE CONTEST, BOTH YOU AND THE PERSON YOU REFER WILL BE BANNED! THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! PLEASE REFER PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND TRUST!

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU REFER A MEMBER AND THEY MAKE SPAMMY OR NONSENCIAL POSTS AND CONTENT OR CONTENT THAT IS COPIED AND PASTED AND CLASSED AS PLAGIARISM TO REACH THE POST COUNT NEEDED, THAT ENTRY WILL BE REMOVED FROM YOUR REFERALL NUMBER. PERSISTENT OFFENCES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM ALL FUTURE CONTESTS!

With that being said, the July Jamboree contest is underway! Good luck to all and remember, low-quality and spam posts will be removed and persistent offences could lead you with a ban.

I think it's a good move because maximum people should get the benefits of they are spending their precious time here on the site.
 
Happy to see a new contest and it accomodates so many winners. I am sure that everyone would be happy about this new contest. Wishing everyone all the luck. Let's keep posting and referring more people here.

I think 2 posts per 10 posts should be ok. Means if your referral make 20 posts that is 4 posts count and this is to bring active referrals to community not post 10 posts and go away. While my suggestion was 3 posts per 10 posts it is not problem. It is cumulative each month. That means new referrals will give you 3 posts per 10 participations while old participants (referred in previous month) 2 posts per 10 posts. It is just a suggestion.
 
I am very bad on bringing referrals. So, I guess that I might not stay in the competition. Lol! I know that there are few people who are so good with this referral thing. I might have to work more on my posting. Well, that's the only thing in my control.

Why so? Is there some reason behind that? Most people enjoy being in the contest. Anyways, it is your decision and I respect that.
 
I'm just not interested in contests. As for Member of the Month, it conflicts with my egalitarian beliefs.

Oh! I see. Thank you for the clarification. It's interesting to know too. Enjoy your time here. I feel more motivated if I see some incentives to be earned
 
I think the new formats for the contest would boost activity rather than bring it a host of sign ups that don't even care if the forum exists or not.
 
Assuming a poster will be able to post 300 but no referral , what would be the fate of that poster or member? Will his or her posts be thank you?

There is no compulsion to have any referrals, if you have referrals then they will check if its legit and genuine and will add 2 plus to your posts count at the end of the month

If I am not mistaken, your referrals can only be counted as legit for the competition if they have made legit 10 post and not spams right? Which means as long as your referrals have made 10 post automatically get two post added to your post count. So even if they made more than ten post you are only awarded two post post counted added to your original count as a form of rewarding you for referring. Cause I believe one of the reasons why we have a referral contest and posting contest is to create fairness for does who might not be good at posting much due to work or something and they are good at referring, and does who can post but not good at referring. And to also boost the activities of the forum.dont you think the more you add to whoever refers like you have said here might make things a bit difficult or unfair?
Or I think @Shortie would be in a better position as to how this works.
 
I like this option very much but for referrals, they can pay us separately only after checking the referral's profile and if its legit and genuine
 
To be honest with you, it is not easy to invite people this time to join in a forum site even if it is a paid to post forum. Maybe there are many lazy people this time.
