Username origin

I also don't have any back story to my username because it's my real name I've used to. If there should be any back story, my parents would be the one's to know.

I know some people who are also making use of their real name on forums. There are those who say it's not a good idea. It's the reason why avatars are used on forums and usersnames too instead of real name and pictures. I guess everyone have a reason for using what they use.

What could be the problem if I create a nickname from my name? For those who don't know my data is real, it won't play any role, but for those who know me, they definitely won't want to harm me

It's only because people are advised to be cyber security conscious when they are doing anything online is why they advice not to use your real name or any of your personal information online on forums and in any other platforms. If you come to some forum rules, they put such rules and tell you they are not to be held responsible if you have a data breach if you use your real details on the forum.

When I was in my teen, I was very much interested in nomadic lifestyle. I planned that I would work on a job that did not require me to got to a certain place and I could work remotely and in the mean time frequently travel. Sadly, this did not happen but I chose the name to reflect my desire of living a nomadic life.

There are some of our dreams which will not come to being a reality but when there is a way to propagate that dream and make it feel like it's alive, it's better to it. With how you have been able to put it into your username, it's now going to stay with you forever as long as you keep using it.

emily is my name. as original as it comes, I know
Don't you think it's a little dangerous to use your real name as a nickname? I don't often hear about such cases, but it can make it much easier for criminals to hack your data or even your addresses. How long have you been using your name as a nickname?

Without leaving your data in any way online for cyber crime criminals to have access to it, it makes it very difficult for them to have what to work with. But when you make the mistake of giving them what to use and track you down, they will never stop until they have stolen from you.

I prefer using the same username for anything I am registering for that requires the need for one. My username is actually a mixture of both my English name and that of my dad's. The eL stands for Elijah while the Davis is for David.

Mine is from a foreigner I met. He had this strange and funny name. I am not even sure that's his real name.

It sounds funny and interesting. So I use it.
