It would seem that the US are to store nuclear weapons in Britain imminently. This is a move that has been made since the threat of attack has become higher over the last few months.

America is reportedly planning to station nuclear weapons in the UK in response to the growing threat from Russia.

They would be kept at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk under the proposals - which are detailed in The Telegraph.

It says Pentagon documents reveal contracts for a new facility and "show the US intends to place nuclear warheads three times the strength of the Hiroshima bomb at the air base".

These are scary times right now, there is so much conflict in different parts of the world, not just disagreements but ongoing wars. There is also a growing fear of a potential conflict with Russia in the coming years, so I believe the UN is preparing for the worse case scenario.

Concerning times indeed, but it is also a pretty standard move nukes around to prepare for the worst in order to best deter attack.

I see that nuclear weapons are affecting our environment regardless of how have rights or how are faulty. We could hope that the war between Russia and Ukraine will be solved in the next few days but the war is going in a bad direction.

Oh wow, this is something else. Any wrong move the way I see it, it's a full blown world war three we would be looking at.

The question is that will the UK agree to this? It would look like they are undereating the authority and capability of the UK.

This is complete tabloid journalism. The UK has a very large nuclear arsenal of it's own. What kind of fake news is this? We ought to not buy into everything that is being reported and sent out.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the News too. But there is not as much hype around the UK in terms of military strength compared to the USA.
