It was a shame that I got fed up with watching this show as I got lost and confused with the who plot. This was why I never completed the show till now.

I have to agree with you, I found I believe it was around season 6 unless I am mistaken that it started to become slow and I somewhat started to lose interest.

I have still yet to watch the final few seasons since it ended but have not had the urge to.

Some producers doesn't know when to stop milking a franchise. This kills the movie or TV show because the fans will lose all interest they had for the movie or TV show. I stopped watching it at season 4.
 
Most times when the show becomes too long, it looses it's quality.
