The Emmy® Award-winning television host, writer, producer and comedian Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Oscars®. It will be O’Brien’s first time hosting the broadcast. The Oscars will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Kinda a waste of four hours, the same sanitized Oscar-bait nonsense with Anora sweeping the awards, but there were some decent wins, like Flow winning Best Animated Feature, the legendary Adrian Brody snagging his second Oscar nomination and win for The Brutality, and Dune: Part 2 getting a Visual Effects win (lol). At least the cringeworthy Emilia Perez didn't sweep like we thought it would. Karla Sofía Gascón didn't even win Best Actress despite all the hoopla about her being the first trans actress to be nominated for an Oscar.

Conan's alright as a host. Had some bite to his jokes in mocking some of the films and even Karla's tweets (yowch), but most of his jokes were pretty safe, much like the awards.

Some very interesting presenters though like Quentin Tarantino presenting Best Directing and Mick Jagger presenting Best Original Song.

They also did a Bond montage, but it just reminds me how the franchise is now ruined by the hands of Bezos. Plus, Raye is no Adele, just like Cynthia is no Idina. You can't quite hit the high notes like she did, Erivo. Her "BRING ME DOWN" is unbeatable, period.
