News Monkeypox is now in the Philippines

I saw the news in TV last night that mpox is now navigating in my country. The victim was a 33 year old traveler. She travelled to Aussie and then she was not alarmed that mpox from South Arica it moved to Sydney . She was there in Sydney, Australia for 5 days visiting her sister and after three days arrival at her home, she noticed that something weird grew on her hands , arms and other parts of her body. She was terrified and thought it was mpox. She is now on isolation for treatment. Her family is also isolated and under observation. Those in contact with that infected pers was monitored by immigration and contacted them to report to their respective health department.

I am scared here.

Those infected people are now on isolation. I will give updates here. The people here started to panic as if the corona virus is attacking. I bought boxes of face masks for my family and my stuff in my business. Mpox is so disgusting to look at.

I do not get closer to people in the mall, I am scared. Who knows if beside me already has the mpox virus? The latest patient was a traveller from Australia to visit a her sister who works as a nurse there but was not informed or her updated that the virus already reached Sydney. When she returned home she only noticed weird pox navigating her body and later learned it was a monkeypox.

I guess there will be viruses but not every virus is deadly and it's only after covid that media and people start panicking so do not worry about it. There are such cases in India but no one is panicked like you are

It is a deadly virus and can kill a person if effected @Kingpin . It may not be deadly as corona virus but is certainly a dangerous virus and we should be careful that it may not spread all over the world.

I am not saying it's bad but it creates a fear in the mind of everyone and not everyone is good in handling this and those with depression issues will be at maximum risk

Yes, media does but this is truth. The virus is spreading quickly and it is deadly and we must be cautious and should take care of ourself by maintaining social distance, face mask etc what we did during corona.

Yes, that is what the people are doing now. Apart from that virus as being deadly and super contagious, it also looks so ugly. I am wondering why the skin turned bluish as what I saw on TV news. The patient was on isolation now including her family on the other facility. They are monitored.

The monkey pox virus is even more deadlier than the Corona virus. It doesn't keep a person beyond 72 hours before it becomes fatal. I think most of the structures of the world have been built to be functional even with a lockdown. Seems it would be the best solution here.

If things gets worse, the only option would be a total lockdown, I just pay it won't get to this level @King Belieal and @Scorpion

That's very dangerous then. I have not read about it but it looks as if it's more deadlier than corona virus and people must keep themselves safe and should take whatever precautions WHO recommends.
