King of the Hill
Hank and the Great Glass Elevator
Season: 5
Episode: 11
Air date: 2001-02-11

Guest stars: Ellen Barkin,Ann Richards,David Herman
Bill and former Texas governor Ann Richards hit it off after a chance meeting resulting from Hank's reluctant prank in an Austin hotel.

I don't get propane. Must be an American thing. I've never seen anyone barbecue with propane in Singapore, only charcoal. We do cook with propane, but not barbecue. You might as well be eating your steak well-done. Who needs that smokey flavor when you have "clean energy?" Ugh.

As for Bill, he screwed up big time with Ann, but it's always nice to see a Bill-centric episode where he grows a little more self-esteem.
King of the Hill
Now Who's the Dummy?
Season: 5
Episode: 12
Air date: 2001-02-18

Guest stars: Tom Poston,Danny Trejo
Bobby's ventriloquist's dummy gets more of Hank's attention than Bobby, but it's Dale who harbors a grudge against the wooden being.

Ventriloquist dummies are almost as creepy as clowns (clowns still win the day though because of John Wayne Gacy), but it's cute to see Bobby spend time with Hank in a meaningful way for once. Shame it didn't work out, but Bobby is better off not pretending to be another persona; wouldn't do wonders for his self-esteem. Glad Hank supports that like a good father.
