I'm not sure about currently, but in the past, racism was very prevalent in Italian football. A prime example was that of Mario Balotelli, and what he faced in the Italian national team. If not that balotelli was someone who was strong and rigid, he would have had a mental breakdown.

You don't even remember the case of Kevin Prince Boateng who was called a monkey by his own club fans. If you follow Osimehn closely, you would know that they still direct racist chants towards him.
