Use of VPN to protect privacy is gaining a lot of popularity these days. Virtual private networks (VPNs) encrypt internet traffic and route it through secure servers, masking users' IP addresses and protecting their online privacy and security. VPNs are commonly used to access restricted content, bypass censorship, and secure connections on public Wi-Fi networks. Do you use VPN?

I don't often use VPN to protect my IP address because I don't see the need for it. Most often I use it to access sites that I am prohibited or simply unavailable in my country. This is a very simple and cheap way to do it

The main purpose of VPN is to hide your IP and assign you another IP so that you will not have digital footprint. VPN also helps you to access the sites that normally blocks your IP address. I use coinbase but coinbase is blocked in my location. Therefore, I need to use VPN to access Coinbase.

I don't think they do.

They used to, but with some JS tricks websites can easily beat them. Unless you block JS and the website allows it, a VPN is more or less ineffective.

The VPN routes your request through it's servers in a differen location and presents the location of that it's server as your location so that your real location is not known. If they want to trace your IP address, it would show the location of the VPN server.

I make use of VPN whenever I want to gain access to a website that would otherwise not have been possible. Also, when o feel that a site is suspicious, I first access it using VPN.

Use of VPN means you are going to have your account banned on most of the websites means unlike what they are saying to promote their website for example.

They allow us to browse any website without sharing our original Internet Protocol to safeguard our identity
