Have you ever received a gift you disliked?

I've gotten some horrible, stupid gifts. But when that happened I just smiled and thanked them. Afterall it's the thought that counts right?

Exactly, its the thought that counts. It doesn't matter whether I like the gift or not, the very fact that they decided to gift me something is enough to show appreciation, whether I like it or not.

I had it once, but it was a spontaneous decision, but I didn't like this gift. My husband gave me an oven and I didn't like it because it seemed to me that he thinks I have to cook all the time, but then I realized that this is a relief for me because it speeds up the cooking time of some dishes. He also cooks himself

My girlfriend once bought me a shirt I didn't really fancy. But I had to fake it as if I liked it so that she would not feel bad. I still wear it once in a while.

Yes, I received a gift that I disliked many times during the exchanging of gifts. Every Christmas there is a party and we are required to join the changing of gifts. What's I exchanged was a very cheap plastic wares but mine, I gave a branded shoulder bag. The next year I exchanged 4 black hankies which I threw in the trash. I told myself not to join the exchange gifts in Christmas year end party.
