Do you enjoy movies with songs?

I enjoy musical drama as long as the music is good and the songs go well with the flow of the story. Bollywood is well known for movies packed with songs. Some like it and some ridicule it. I have grown up watching such movies and absolutely love them. But it annoys me when the song does not fit the plot and seems imposed. There are movies which are good because there is no song in it.

Like in Hindi movies where song and dance comes out of nowhere? No, I don't like them. However, if the song movies the story forward or if it sets the mood of the story, that's fine with me

@Nomad . Even I don't like songs popping up in mid of nowhere and moving the story off track. But I don't mind having some good songs coming up and be entertaining like in " Hum Aapke hai Kaun". It was full of songs like a musical drama but I liked it.
In recent times, I have seen songs( popular ones with bad lyrics and bad music) coming up out of nowhere and not even distantly related to the movie. That's annoying.

Totally agree. The mainstream Bollywood movies seem incomplete without songs. In fact there are many movies that might have not done well on the box office, but their music album had record hit songs. Many criticize or make fun of songs in the storyline of Bollywood movies. But I feel that it's unique in that way. As long as we get quality songs that go well with the theme and story, I am happy.

Movies with songs are generally Bollywood movies. There is no way there won’t be singing and dancing a few times in the movies. I enjoy them though, and I search out interesting ones to watch.

That is interesting to know. In fact, I have talked to many of my friends from different countries. And interestingly most of them enjoy these movies. Maybe it is so different from their country's culture and movies. That might be appealing for them.
