Carrots are abundant anywhere in the world. They vary in size. They are also very common and familiar. Tis orange-crunchy “powerfood “contains vitamin A good for the eyes. Carrots improve vision, they contain beta-carotene which is converted into vitamin A. Vitamin A is transformed in the retina to rhodopsin a purple pigment necessary for night vision.

I always remember as a kid, and I used to tell my kids the same thing, we were always told that carrots helped you see in the dark.

I now know and so do my kids, that they do no,t and it was just a way to get us to eat our carrots.

I guess as a child, anything like that or even being told you will get super powers when eating a certain food, suddenly makes the the food so much better
