I have not seen any recent big tournaments being hosted by Zimbabwe. It would be good for them if they get the offer. How is the pitch condition there? Not sure why not many international tournaments are played there.

They have hosted the ICC qualifiers of T20 World cup in which Zimbabwe lost and the reason they were not part of the T20 World cup

I just saw the breaking news flashing on my mobile that the venue is shifted from Bangladesh to UAE. I assume that it will be the final destination. The tournament is approaching fast.

Yes that's right. I posted a thread about it just some time ago because ICC confirmed or at least indicated that but Bangladesh still have the rights so they will handle everything and we'll see Bangladesh written on the jerseys of all teams

UAE is ready to host any tournament anytime. They are the best standby option. Is safe, have good hotels and good facilities and that's why they make good money.

UAE is a good place because I haven't seen any matches washed out because of rain there so it's perfect for cricket

I was rooting for Zimbabwe too because that must have helped them make money and use that on its infrastructure and for development of cricket

@Kingpin . UAE is a good option. They have good infrastructure and world class amenities. I also think the same as you about Zimbabwe. It would have given them some financial benefits to improve their home ground infrastructure

It's the time when ICC and other Cricket boards should help these cricket boards to earn more money or help them financially to get established again

Morally and ethically they should.. but then everything boils down to the fact that they are just businesses. They would make decisions that would bring more profit.

England is helping Zimbabwe. This year or next year they are coming to England for a test series and England will pay all their expenses from Zimbabwe to England also which is normally not borne by any host nation

That's nice of England. I hope that more countries do that in the future. At least, England has taken the lead. It might inspire other countries to do that too.

They are the first nation to do that and India should do that and haven't played a test series against them from many years
