BCCI rejects to Host T20 World Cup

The Women's T20 World cup that was scheduled to play originally in Bangladesh in October later this year is being shifted to another location and India have rejected the proposal citing Monsoon season during that time and also Women's ODI World cup will be in India in 2025 so they are not interested in hosting 2 world cups in consecutive years.

That's fine. Why should a country host an event twice in two years? Let's see which country is going to organize it. Maybe England or Australia will take on the responsibility of organizing this World Cup. It's always beneficial for the host country in terms of revenues.

Only Country with similar timing as Bangladesh can host so it would be either Sri Lanka or UAE or Bangladesh if they managed to Convince ICC and other boards.

I don't think Srilanka is also in the condition to host the tournament, also UAE cannot because of the war like situation in the gulf.

Bangladesh is burning and in an unfortunate situation right now. And it doesn't seem to be settling down any soon in a position to host such a great event in couple of months. India has a justified reason to not accept it. It's a very short notice for any Nation to gear up and get prepared for such a big event.

Sri Lanka will be considered but I hate the matches that are played in Sri Lanka on spin friendly wickets so UAE is better option

Yes, the pitches of Srilanka are slow and they are more batting pitch. They don't favour bowlers and in most of the matches scores go so high which makes matches uninteresting. I am also not in favour of Srilanka to host a world cup.

This will give Sri Lankan team advantage like what happened in the Asia cup which they won.

We are already in to August and half the month is over. The date for the tournament is fast approaching and still the destination and venue is not decided. It's a very short duration for any nation to be prepared. Let's see what happens. They might have to postpone the tournament in the worst case scenario

Don't think it'll be postponed because they have backups available in the form of Sri Lanka and UAE and UAE is always ready to host cricket matches and have at least 3 World class stadiums if I'm not wrong

This will give Sri Lankan team advantage like what happened in the Asia cup which they won.

Yes, it will give benefits to the Asian countries because most of the Asian players like to play on such surface.

I feel that Sri Lanka might be the preferred location. The middle east and gulf are not going through a stability phase with war like situation and stress looming around.

Why Did they rejected it? It would have given India an Advantage and they could have won the T20 World Cup like Mens team

Indian team won the T20 World Cup on a foreign land. We won one World Cup in India and lost the final of other one. Playing in Home country does give a bit of advantages in terms of familiarity of pitch, weather and home crowd support. But it doesn't assure the victory.
India does not want to host few big international series in a row. That can be overwhelming. That's why they rejected the offer.

I felt India has better chance to win at home because of their spinners but if they plan for UAE then it would mean flat pitches only

Hosting back to back World cups is not a good thing and it's hard for any country. In my opinion they did well to reject the idea

I don't see any problem with this for a country like India that can allot its southern part or Northern part for the scheduling of World cup matches

It's hard because India is already occupied with Domestic matches and cannot plan it perfectly

Yes, there must have genuine reasons to reject the offer. Else any country would love to grab the honour to be a host. It gives a chance to showcase your potential for being a great host and attract more such things in future. It brings financial benefits too. Maybe the logistics are not working out and they had to decline it.

Zimbabwe is dying to host the T20 World cup and offering the lowest quote for the same and now it's upto ICC to decide
