Mobile Gaming Android games vs iOS games

I am currently using an android phone, so I am already used to the apk file games here, while there are some android games also available on iOS, I know the iOS also has it's own type of games. Between the android games and iOS ones, which is better?

I think that the open source nature of the android operating system makes it much more easier for android games to be far more expansive than games on iOs. One can easily download game patches for android games.

That's one of the reasons I love android phones, not just about the games, but the fact that you can easily customize your phone even without having to root it is amazing.
