American Handball

Has anyone ever played American handball before? It's different from international handball since in this sport you have to bounce a small ball against a wall and your opponent can't bounce it the same way. You also cannot let the ball bounce on the ground twice or go out of bounds. I remember when I was a kid there was a park nearby my elementary school that had an abandoned handball court. I guess where I live the sport didn't really catch on much, so the court went abandoned. (It was full of graffiti and I recall once trying to look at the court and take pictures that I was being watched by some woman so I just left quickly since I didn't want to get in trouble for checking it out.) I had heard about American handball but had not seen it played. It does seem interesting and a different concept from any other sport I have played.

It reminds me of a game me and my friends used to play when I was younger where you had to hit the ball against the wall and if you missed it three times you were out, that was a lot of fun to play!

I had never heard of American handball. Based on what I have read here, I think the game is similar to Squash. In squash, two players play a tennis ball with a racket against the wall. IN double, there will be 4 players, 2 on each team. Maybe the Americans call handball to the sports that rest of the world calls squash.

I can't say that I've ever played American handball before. It seems to be a sport that doesn't get a ton of mainstream attention compared to some others. From what I understand, it's kind of like racquetball but played with just your hands on a small court. Sounds like it would be a great workout with all the running, jumping, and hand-eye coordination required. While I haven't had the chance to try it myself yet, I'm always open to picking up new sports and activities. American handball could be a fun challenge to take on sometime.

I really can't say that I have interest in the American handball. I've got enough sports on my neck as it is, not willing to add another to it. My main focus on interest are on football, tennis and basketball.
