News 100 killed after scavenging fuel from an overturned tanker

This is so sad! They must have been desperate to put their lives at risk to get fuel. It is such a shame to see what is happening in the world.

More than 100 people have been killed and about 50 injured as they rushed to scoop up fuel when a petrol tanker overturned and then exploded.

It happened late on Tuesday night in Majia, a town in the Taura area of northern Jigawa state, after the driver lost control on a highway, said police spokesman Lawan Adam.

"The residents were scooping up fuel from the overturned tanker when the explosion occurred, sparking a massive inferno," he said.

Its very disheartening to hear such news and losing about 100 lives in it. It's foolishness to go and start scooping fuel from an overturned tanker. May their souls continue to rest.
