This is awful to hear and such a freak accident! I do hope whoever made the ottoman looks into why it failed and fixes any issues before something like this happens again. Should have never been able to happen in the first place.

A "defective" Ottoman-style bed caused the death of a woman after it fell and trapped her, according to a coroner's report.

Helen Davey, 39, was leaning over the bed's storage area when its gas-lifted section came down.
