Who's the best defender in football today?

A lot have been said about the best strikers and attackers in football today but nothing have been said much about the defenders like they are not vital to the game.

With that being said, who do you think currently is the best defender in football today?

Right now, it's going to be players like William Saliba, Lisandro Martinez, Rudiger and Aaron Wan Bisaka that tops my list as the best defenders in football.

I don't know if I have someone I can say is the best defender but I can only say William Saliva is really good and talented in what he's doing. He did a good job of forming a partner with Gabriel.

There are no longer defenders like Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Nesta, Maldini, Puyol and the best. It's just average guys that we have as defenders today. Maybe Rudiger is one of the best we currently have playing.
