What trends are you sick of seeing on the internet?

If you use the internet a lot, you will have seen a lot of trends that start on the internet and tend to go viral pretty quickly.

When it comes to trends on the internet at the moment, which ones would you say you are sick of seeing?

Honestly? The trend I'm most sick of is the lazy, knee-jerk use of "sexism" and "racism" as the default scapegoats every time a movie, show, or whatever underperforms. It’s like clockwork—some hollow, overmarketed project flops, and within 24 hours, Variety or The Guardian is out here declaring it’s because audiences are too problematic to “get it.” No room for the possibility that maybe—and hear me out—the writing sucked, the characters were flat, or it just wasn't good.

It’s a tired, transparent PR shield that insults the intelligence of anyone with a functioning brain cell. You can’t preach representation and authenticity while hiding mediocrity behind moral superiority. The internet’s flooded with this sanctimonious spin, and it's exhausting.

And then you’ve got Twitter, the performative outrage circus where nuance goes to die. One bad-faith quote tweet and suddenly you're a bigot because you dared to say a movie was mid. Everyone screaming for empathy while frothing at the mouth over pop culture opinions like it's the Nuremberg Trials. It’s a social media gladiator pit for the terminally online.

If your story can’t stand on its own without leaning on social guilt or moral theatrics, maybe it didn’t deserve the pedestal in the first place.

The sickest trend that I can find is news media stations rolling small issues/events into big news.

For example, a very famous news media site yesterday published a reel showing the video of a celebrity cricketer signing the autograph of a young kid stating 'Celebrity cricketer signs autograph of a young girl'.

Why is it even news, I donot know.
