As per Punter Cricket Can be more popular in US because people in US likes to see Homerun which is averaging less as compared to a Six in cricket so spectators will have fun if they switch to cricket.
 
We have seen it in the last World Cup that people in the US like cricket, and I think it will create more interest in the people if more tournaments are organized there. It would be beneficial for the cricket association too if the craze for cricket increased in more countries.
 
Mostly it was Indian and Asians that were settled in the US, ICC still need to do a lot to make it popular in USA
 
That's true. Most of the players in the US squad are from Asia. This is normal because once a team is formed, every possibility is checked, and it's better to include players from other countries where this sport is played.
 
Ricky Ponting stressed upon Good wickets for batting that will mean more sixes which is quite similar to Home run in baseball but on an average there are very few home runs in baseball so cricket has a chance.
 
I don't know if that will be helpful for people to like cricket. I don't think people only like sixes in the match. I also like a match when some bowlers bowl well. It's all about what you like. Maybe most of the people like sixes in the match.
 
They are not talking about India or Asia. They are planning to make it popular in USA and certainly this can help because Cricket is still new for them and this can make them interested in it.
 
Who said they were talking about India or Asia? To make it popular, they will have to make the youths interested in sports, and for that, they will have to make it popular in schools and colleges first.
 
This topic was about making cricket popular in USA. Schools won't allow cricket if it's not popular. ICC tried it's best by hosting the world cup in USA and I Agree with their POV
 
This will take so much time to get Cricket popular in USA and they need to arrange more India, PAk matches in USA to gain more attention
