You switch on the TV for any Indian news channels and it is flooded with the heart breaking visuals of devastations in various states of India. Social media is flooded with such upsetting visuals too. Natural calamities has impacted various places across the country. Flash floods, cloud bursts and landslides have caused devastation in both North Indian as well as South Indian states. Places like Wayanad ( in the South Indian state of Kerala), Himachal, Uttrakhand ( close to Himalayas in North) are in headlines. The visuals shake humanity. Huge loss of properties and lives. Entire villages have been washed overnight. Some people have lost dozens of their loved ones in a moment. Rescue work and help is pouring in.
Prayers and thoughts for those impacted. And more strength to rescue teams and social welfare teams who are coming forward to help. Donations and support are pouring from all places..

Not just in India, but in various parts of the world today, it's one news or the other about natural disaster going on. Recently there was flooding in some areas of my country.

Things have been worse this year as compared to previous years. Nobody can do much when it's so devastating and you cannot prepare for these things in advance.

Yes, every rainy seasons we have such natural disasters. You didn't mention about the cloud bursting in Kedarnath where lots of pilgrims are stuck. Rescue operations are going on but many people are missing and I don't think they would be alive now.

How does it happen that these disasters happen and the national meteorological agency doesn't issue warnings ahead of time for residents to leave those locations? It is gross irresponsibility on the part of the government to have casualties because of natural disasters.
