The World Health Organisation (WHO) has today declared the Mpox outbreak as a global national emergency.

This is very worrying and I do hope that every country is ready to work together to hopefully stop this from being something very serious.

Over five hundred and thirty eight deaths so far, that's really alarming. We all need to be careful from here on out.

At this time, Mpox outbreaks have been reported in 13 countries in Africa. Definetely a coordinated international response is needed to stop the outbreak from spreading to other counties Luckily, there is no outbreak in the United States and fortunately this is a known virus with tools already available to be able to control it, including vaccines. .

I think there should be travel restrictions already in place to curb it from spreading to other countries that don't have it. Countries that it is already being reported should declare a lockdown already. There has to be a proactive approach to solve this issue.

I have just read about updates in the Philippines if there is occurrence of the mpox and I've learned that my country has a latest victim of mpox. She's 33 years old. She travelled from Australia and she has not learned that Sydney is the next country after South Africa infected with the said virus. There's a total of 10 cases now in the Philippines.

Thanks for the spreading out the news earlier but I think up to now we haven't have a victim in my state

You Google search about about updates in Nigeria. If there is none, perhaps, there are no travellers in your country. In the Philippines, there are millions of tourists coming every day. Their visits boost our country's economy but these foreign visitors might have mpox that may escalate.

We are just having 39 cases so far in my nation and you can check it out

That's serious. We should take precautions and should help stopping it from spreading. I don't think in India there is anyone who has been affected by this virus but still we should be careful as it doesn't take time to spread.

I hope that we would all collectively take responsibility to contend the monkey pox virus by turning ourselves in if we are displaying the symptoms of the virus. It could go a very long way to curb the spread of the disease.

Mpox was never something to rub a gentle hands. It requires careful and 100% responsibility to see that it didn't spread or affect others. People who have it should report themselves.
