How old were you when you found out Santa wasn't real?

Kids always believe that Santa is real. Santa's were seen as a magical beings that comes during Christmas to give kids gifts and grant their wishes.

How old were you when you found out Santa wasn't real but a human being dressed up for the event?

That said, my mother did slip up when I was around 7. I had a wish bone and snapped it off to make a wish, and I wished for a toy that I'd written to Santa for

She looked at me and went, oh, right, um, I don't think he bought that one?- but you could see she was like Oh dam, I forgot to buy said toy

Still believe in him though despite that

I think I was around 8-9 years old when I found out.
I don't remember how I found out though.
