How did you remedy your loneliness?

Scorpion
I am so sure that all of us experienced feeling lonely. It is crucial if you won't find ways to cure your loneliness. It is a feeling that only your heart feels it and the mind has nothing to do with it if you disallow your mind to delve into a solution that could convert loneliness to happiness. The time I felt lonely, I did not understand my feelings, as if my heart was broken, it ached a lot. But my mind helped me convert the lonely feeling by thinking of something good to eat and it worked. To remedy my lonely feeling, I bought my favorite ice cream, Rocky Road, thus , my loneliness was rocked out.

Well, I grew up on cartoons and movies. I was always kinda an outcast growing up, so I was used to being lonely, but that didn't really matter much because it got me to escape into fiction and imaginary friends. I still rely on fiction as a form of escapism nowadays (minus the imaginary friends part lol), especially since I don't have any friends, but that doesn't bother me much since you can't miss what you didn't have for a long time. Movies and TV shows kept me company for a long time, and probably always will. Fiction is much easier to deal with than the messiness of real people anyway, especially when I kept arguing with people online. Given how chaotic our society is nowadays, both online and offline, and not just in America, maybe I'm better off.

To be honest, despite my circumstances, I haven't really considered myself "lonely" for a long time because I was kept engaged by my TV shows and movies for so long. Maybe loneliness is a social construct meant to pressure people into interaction.

I was an only child for 11 years with parents that were very strict so I never really had a lot of friends - since I wasn't allowed to hang out after school or have sleep overs. I learned to keep my self busy, read, draw, listen to music, write, play video games, etc. As I got older and had more freedom, way too many times I found myself choosing to stay home over hanging out with friends! 🤷‍♀️
