Since the beginning when I started using a phone, I prefer to text and Whatsapp more and don't like to make calls and even now my calls will be only for urgent things and are mostly of very small duration and it's always texting and messaging.

Probably you are right WhatsApp messenger has become world widely usage app and also I prefer most call on WhatsApp but I prefer to used Facebook messenger in terms of chatting because I can easily accessed many strangers across the globe
I prefer to text or WhatsApp chat most of the time and don't like Fb messenger as its not so good for chatting or this is what I feel
I prefer anything that has to do with texting a lot more than calls. I usually find calls a lot more stressful compared to texting or chatting.
Calls are fine for me because you are not aware if the message went through and understood by the other person

It depends. When I know I may be able to communicate with someone via text, I send a text, and when I feel I should talk to a person over the phone, I call him or her. It's always time-saving to text a person.
There are so many messaging tools now and telegram is also quite popularly used in different countries
Personally, I don't like being called especially when it's video call. I might be willing to take normal call but never a video call.

I have always been someone who has preferred texting to making calls. I always find that if I am on a call and talking to someone, I forget to say a lot of what I want to say. When I am texting, I have that time to think about what I want to say and am able to say more without forgetting.
Most times I can get by on a text, but if I need to have a conversation that will cover a lot of detail then I prefer a call.
Most of the time, I prefer communication using chat messengers like Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord. I don't like text messages so much.
I don't enjoy phone calls. I would rather text all day instead of having to keep talking to someone on call. To me, it makes no sense making calls when we can chat about a whole lot of things.
Also, I can be talking with multiple people at once when I'm texting or chatting unlike calling. It's not possible to speak with more than one person at once.
I love texting than calling on WhatsApp. I prefer to chat as many people as possible than start calling people one after the other. I have never enjoy calls unless it's very important.
I prefer to use Discord for messaging, and calls. I've become more fond of Discord after I learned my way around it.
