What's the most important quality you look for in a friend?

When we look for a friend, we always look for someone who has certain qualities. I consider trustworthiness to be the most desirable quality in a friend. He should be honest, reliable, and confidential. He should be loyal, understanding, supportive, and have a sense of humor. What qualities would you like to see in your friend?

They should be trusted and also not broke as I think if they are broke then they only be our friends to ask for money whenever they need

Trustworthiness is the major quality which one always search in a friend. No, friendship lasts if there is no trust between the friends.

Yes its important, I have a few friends who are always asking for money and that's why I said they should not be broke LOL

For me it has to be someone that is honest and I can trust. These days it can be pretty hard to find people you can trust out there.

Trust and honesty do go side by side, I don't mind helping my friends with money but I expect them to repay me back as promised

Most pay me back but I prefer them to stick to a date when they will pay back and some do promise to return on time but always delay LOL but its ok as long as they return

I always hesitate to lend money to anyone because I know in case they won't return the money the trust and the friendship may get broken.

Exactly so in situations where I know if they don't pay such amount would not affect me. I only borrow out what I know i am okay with loosing if I they do not pay back.

Actually you have mentioned so many good qualities as well but I tend to have friends that are honest, confidential and loyal because if you honest no matter how hard you will say the truth and if you so confident I will benefits from you and if you loyal you can be a leader that's for me

Yes that's true, though these days I am learning to look after myself a lot more than others. If I know giving out would affect me then I would have to wait.

For me l really like friends that are very honesty, trustworthy, and very real. Unfortunately there are so many friends that are very dishonest, untrustworthy and not real. I have discovered that it's difficult to get some faithful friends for sure.

I always look out for people that are purposeful to have as friends. They must also be people that have a very high level of intelligence. You must also be able to live a coordinated life. I don't like people who are scattered in life.
