What is Your Experience With Yard sales?

I haven't been to any Yard sales for years and these are not common in my city or even in my country and would like to know if you have ever been to a Yard sale and how was your experience.

Do you like to attend these Yard sales regularly?

I have never seen or been or a yard sale before, I have only seen this in movies. Over here people don't really do yard sales that much.

Please can you shed more light on what a yard sales is exactly? I believe this is the first time I've been hearing of such a term.
