Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, landed in China on Thursday, May 16, to meet with "dear friend" Xi Jinping. Putin is trying to get greater support from Beijing for his war effort in Ukraine and his financially battered country. Putin's visit to China, an economic lifeline for Russia following the enactment of historic sanctions by the West due to its military invasion in Ukraine, will be his first international travel since his reelection in March and his second in less than six months.

That's what war does, it would suck everything, from your resources to the economy and even the lives of the people. It's well though.

I have not heard about the downfall of the Russian economy so far. They have good resources within the country; that's why they were not affected by the economic bans by the European countries and the US. But Russia, by this time, must be realizing that they made a mistake.

The Russian economy has actually experienced modest growth due to the ever growing armaments industry out there.
