According to the ministry in charge of the reintegration of areas that were formerly ruled by Russia, children in the Donetsk region of Ukraine along with their parents or other legal guardians would be forcibly removed from some districts, including Pokrovsk. On Wednesday, the Ukrainian military declared that Pokrovsk was currently "the hottest" front in the conflict. Soldiers are fighting in several sites while fending off Russian advances. Pokrovsk city, the neighboring town of Myrnohrad, and 39 adjacent villages make up the entire community.
