I don't have any such thing at my work and I need to work 9-5 only and for a little longer in case there is some urgent work or emergency.

Do you need to work in Shifts?

Since am working from home, I do not work in shifts. I mostly do all the works myself, though it can be a bit challenging.

I work in a manufacturing unit which runs for 24 hours so I have to work in shifts. I have to work in two shifts and my shift changes every week.

Oh wow, that's pretty awesome though. What kind of manufacturing company are you working in though.

It's a wiring harness manufacturing unit, used in the vehicles. Our company supplies wiring harnesses to OEMs , also we export it to various customers.

Oh wow that's super cool. How long have you been working there, and are you enjoying your job?

Sometimes I enjoy it, but most of the time I get bored of doing the same things every day. I need a change, but I don't think I will get it because that's the problem with the organizations; they think things should go as they are until they are not affecting productivity and profits.

Yes that's normal though. Doing the same thing time after time again can be pretty tiring and in most cases boring.

I think its hard to work in different shifts but with experience you can easily adjust

Yes you just need experience and time. After some time it becomes a lot easier for you to adjust and go with the flow.

I guess even the family needs to adjust but you can also get help from your colleagues and get your desired shift when you have something planned

I have always loved to work in shifts. Especially when it is one day in and one day out kind of shifts. I think shift work allows you to have ample time for yourself.

Do you mean working in split shifts? I don't think many industries allow split shifts and mostly have day and night shift

I work according to the subject load given to me. There are days I do not have a subject load, so I have ample time to work on the web for my side kicks and others. This time, I am till on summer vacation.

Does that mean you earn from staying free LOL, I would love a job like that where you don't get any work load and are free to enjoy online earnings

Yes, of course, i am a full time employee, regular, so all are paid and that is how it looks as a university lecturer. Despite no subject load, but we are entertaining students outputs.

We are also in the faculty office checking papers and entertaining students problems, It is also boring which is why, I am happy you invited me to join a forum. I never knew about forums without you.

The last shift job I did was two weeks in and two weeks out. I had to travel there. While we are there they also shared us into day shift and night shift. Having shifts actually helped us to sort out other personal issues though.

I think this all started from Index forum from where you started loving forums and now part of most of the forums
