Can you be friends with someone if they have very different political views from you?

I don't mind because I don't like to express my views like that and prefer those who like to discuss and not debate on it unnecessarily.

We are all entitled to our own views and belief. For me I don't really mind if they have the same political views or a different ones, the most important thing for me is that they are a decent person to be friends with me.
