After weeks of deadly anti-government protests in the South Asian country, Bangladesh's prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, revealed her resignation and fled to neighboring India on Monday. Streets in Dhaka were filled with celebration as demonstrators marked the end of Hasina's 15-year rule by climbing a massive statue of her father, independence leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and cutting it in the head with an axe. Bangladesh's army leader, Gen. Waker-uz-Zaman, declared the creation of an interim government and confirmed Hasina's resignation in an address to the nation.

Seems like we will see Mini Pakistan or Taliban kind of rule in Bangladesh and this will only means things getting tougher between India and Pakistan

That's what they do, once they see things are tough for them they quickly run to other countries. Right now some of our ministers are not in the country because of the protest going on.

She had a plan to go to UK but don't know if she changed her mind to stay in India. She would have been killed if stayed in her country.

What I know is she was forced to resign from her PM post and was forced to leave in 45 mins and she chose to fly to India or at least the reports are saying this

That is the power of the people. I don't know what my country's citizens are waiting for. We just like to play safe. Our own protest is just a charade. Congratulations to the people of Bangladesh for this massive achievements.

LOL no it's not the power of people, these people were used by the Pakistani Agency ASI and also the Chinese because their Prime Minster was like a hurdle for them as she was maintaining law and order in the country

It's funny how they know what they are doing is bad, hence they run away the moment there is a protest or an issue in the country but they still choose to live life this way.

Things are getting tough in Bangladesh. Hindu being minority there are being killed daily. Recently, I was reading that 13 hindu houses and 3 temples were fired . It's sad that now the protest has taken the turn and minorities are paying the price.

She was given option to resign and fly away and she did the right thing, Their army and all public was against her just because she was doing well and maintaining law and order in the country

She would have been killed if she had not resigned and flew to India. Now, she should never go back to Bangladesh untill the things get normal there.
